The lie about the concert tickets

Okay, so this is gonna sound dumb, but it's been eating at me for like, five years. My best friend, Liam, he REALLY wanted to see this band, right? They were his absolute favorite, playing a show nearby, and tickets were impossible to get. I managed to snag two somehow. But then, this girl I was totally obsessed with at the time invited me to a party that same night.

I know, I know, I'm the worst. I told Liam something came up, like my grandma was sick, and I sold the tickets online for a crazy profit. Then I went to the stupid party and spent the whole night wishing I was moshing with Liam. The party sucked, by the way. I never told him the truth. I still feel like garbage about it.
