I should have visited more

Grandma, I'm so sorry. I was always too busy. Work, friends, stupid TV shows... anything was more important than driving over to see you. I knew you were lonely after Grandpa died. Mom told me, Dad told me, everyone told me. But I just... didn't. Now you're gone and I can't get those visits back. I can't hear your stories or eat your cookies or just sit with you while you watch Lawrence Welk. I feel so unbelievably guilty. I hope you knew I loved you, even if I didn't show it enough. I'm going to try to be better. I'm going to try to make time for the people who matter. I miss you. So much.
