Jen, I'm so sorry. Remember that time you told me about being scared to try out for the softball team? And I said, 'Oh, you'll be fine, everyone makes the team'? I knew you really wanted it. I knew you were nervous. I just... I didn't want you to be better than me. I wanted to be the only one who got all the attention from Coach. I lied. I told him you were a bad influence, that you were always late. I told him you weren't serious about the sport. You didn't make the team, and I felt so good about myself then. Now, I just feel sick. I'm so sorry I did that to you. I was a terrible friend.
